Oral presentation award for Lisanne Gommers

At the annual symposium of the Dutch Physiology Days (DPD) on the 22nd - 23rd of November in Wolfheze, Lisanne Gommers was awarded the first prize for her oral presentation. During this meeting, both clinicians and researchers within the field of physiology presented and discussed in an informal setting the scientific physiology studies and teaching activities that are conducted in the Netherlands. Lisanne studies the involvement of the gut microbiome in a clinical phenomenon called proton pump inhibitor (PPI)-induced hypomagnesemia and presented her work entitled: "Low gut microbiota diversity and dietary magnesium intake are associated with the development of proton pump inhibitor-induced hypomagnesemia in mice".
